Natuna Regent Attends Signing of Post-Harvest Infrastructure Grant with Perum BULOG

Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan attended the signing ceremony for a Regional Government Asset (BMD) grant agreement with Perum BULOG, held at the Pandan Wangi Meeting Room, 1st Floor of the BULOG Headquarters on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto Kav. 49, South Jakarta, Monday (March 9) afternoon.

The Regent’s attendance marked a follow-up to the planned grant initiative aimed at supporting the development of Post-Harvest Infrastructure (IPP) in the region. The program is expected to strengthen the management system for agricultural products while improving the welfare of farmers in Natuna Regency.

The signing ceremony was also attended by members of the Board of Directors of Perum BULOG, including the Director of Human Resources and Transformation. During the event, the grant documents were officially signed as a form of joint commitment between the regional government and Perum BULOG to support the development of the national food sector.

Through this grant program, the Natuna Regency Government is expected to receive infrastructure support related to post-harvest management. Post-harvest facilities are considered a crucial factor in maintaining the quality of agricultural products while also increasing their added value for farmers.

On the occasion, Cen Sui Lan expressed her appreciation to Perum BULOG for its support to the region, particularly in strengthening food security and improving agricultural product management in Natuna.

According to her, collaboration between regional governments and state-owned enterprises such as Perum BULOG represents a strategic step toward promoting sustainable agricultural development. With adequate infrastructure support, the processing and storage of harvests are expected to become more efficient and effective.

The event also served as an important opportunity to strengthen synergy among the central government, state-owned enterprises, and regional administrations in advancing the national food sector and improving the welfare of local communities, particularly farmers in Natuna Regency.
