Located in the courtyard of the Natuna Regent's Office, Jalan Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Ranai, Friday, (10/11) morning, the Natuna Regency Government held the 78th Heroes' Day Commemoration Ceremony.
The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi acted as the Ceremony Inspector, where the activity was attended by members of the Forkopimda, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organisations, State Civil Apparatus, and TNI personnel from various units.
The commemoration of Heroes' Day this year carries the theme "The Spirit of Heroes for the Future of the Nation in Fighting Poverty and Ignorance".
The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs in a written speech read by the Regent of Natuna at that time explained that the theme was raised through deep reflection to answer the increasingly real threat of modern colonisation.
Considering that Indonesia is a large strategic area, and has abundant natural resource potential, such as fertile land, abundant marine products, and earth content that holds a variety of valuable minerals.
This will be a real challenge for the next generation of the nation, to manage, as much as possible to advance the nation, and the welfare of the community as the ideals of the nation's fighters.
The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia recognises that the challenges and threats as mentioned above, will be conquered together, with the spirit, determination, and intention as possessed by the heroes of the nation's struggle.
The value of togetherness and determination to unite in realizing a better Indonesian Nation in the future must always be the view and life ideals of all children of the nation, as a form of appreciation, respect, and efforts to continue the ideals of the nation's fighters. Pro- Kopim (D)
