Natuna Regency Government Holds 2025 National Education Day Ceremony

National Education Day is a significant moment for the Indonesian nation, as President Prabowo continues to strengthen his commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty and revitalizing educational infrastructure and facilities. This includes promoting digital learning, enhancing the quality and quantity of teachers’ performance, which is expected to improve both their competencies and welfare.

With this concept and commitment, teachers are expected to become agents of learning and civilization, serving not only as facilitators but also as mentors and counselors for their students.

This message was conveyed by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia through a written speech read by the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto, who acted as Inspector of the Ceremony during the 2025 National Education Day commemoration. The ceremony was held in the courtyard of the Natuna Regent’s Office, Batu Sisir Street, Bukit Arai, Ranai, on Friday morning (May 2).

The written speech further emphasized that to realize the intended goals in education development, support and cooperation from all parties are needed, including the government, parents, society, businesses, and the media.

The government, as the state administrator, cannot work alone due to limited resources and funding. Broad participation and support are essential for education as a public service to succeed in shaping children into an excellent generation.

Attending the event were the Chair and members of the Natuna Regency DPRD, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), assistants and heads of regional apparatus organizations (OPD), education council members, school supervisors, teacher representatives from elementary and secondary schools, as well as student representatives from upper secondary level schools.
