In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025, the Natuna Regency Government, through the relevant agencies and in collaboration with various institutions, organized an Affordable Food Bazaar held at Piwang Beach, Ranai, on Saturday (August 16).
The bazaar featured local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) offering agricultural products, handicrafts, and essential goods at affordable prices.
The event was officially opened by the Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, and attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of regional apparatus organizations (OPD), MSME actors, and the public, who enthusiastically visited and shopped at the various booths.
Since early morning, the community eagerly filled the venue. Numerous local MSME booths sold affordable agricultural products, handicrafts, and daily necessities.
In her remarks, Regent Cen Sui Lan stated that the initiative reflected the regional government’s commitment to easing the community’s burden by providing access to essential goods at reasonable prices.
She also expressed appreciation for the participation of MSME actors in this initiative. According to her, such activities serve as promotional platforms expected to boost the local economy, considering that MSMEs are the backbone of regional economic growth. Through this bazaar, she hopes that Natuna’s local products will gain greater recognition and popularity among the community.
Furthermore, the Natuna Regency Government also partnered with the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) and several distributors to provide affordable staple food items such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, and other necessities at prices below market rates.
The affordable food bazaar is scheduled to run for several days leading up to the peak of Independence Day celebrations on August 17, 2025. The government hopes that, in addition to fostering the spirit of independence, this event will also help stimulate Natuna’s local economy. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
