The Natuna Regency was designated as the host for the commemoration of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the Riau Islands Province level, where the activity was centered at the location of Piwang Beach Ranai, Thursday, (17/08) morning.
This became even more special because the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, had the opportunity to attend and act as Ceremony Inspector at the Proclamation Seconds Ceremony.
Attending the event were the Governor of Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, Chairman of the DPRD, FKPD and leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations at the Riau Islands Province level, Regents and ranks of the Natuna Regency Government, FKPD and DPRD Members, leaders of vertical agencies, representatives of mass organizations and OKP and community leaders.
There were also ceremony participants from the Three Matra TNI and Polri, ASN, mass organizations, and high school students.
Acting as Commander of the Ceremony in the commemoration of the Seconds of Proclamation, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Morisson Candra Karundeng, S.Sos who is the Commander of Kodim 0318 Natuna.
The ceremony began with the Commemoration of the Seconds of Proclamation commemorated simultaneously throughout Indonesia, followed by the reading of the Proclamation Text read by the Chairman of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD, Jumaga Nadeak, and continued with the Raising of the Red and White Flag by 33 Paskibraka who are representatives / selections from all Regencies / Cities in the Riau Islands Province, plus TNI and Police personnel.
After the implementation of these activities, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian was also given a Press Conference with the media crew, during which he said that as a border region, the spirit of nationalism must continue to be instilled, and be realized in the application of daily attitudes.
Tito also added that the moratorium on the formation of new regions (Natuna Anambas Province) has not yet been implemented because it considers a number of aspects, especially the fiscal aspect and the current state financial condition is said to be unable to accommodate DOB formation activities in Indonesia.
At the event, the Minister of Home Affairs handed over a Charter of Appreciation to the leaders of Vertical Agencies of Riau Islands Province, then 1000 flags were also handed over to representatives of related agencies by the Minister of Home Affairs (Prokopim/Arf).
