Located in the Meeting Room on the second floor of the Natuna Regent's Office, the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda led the Regional Poverty Reduction Coordination Team Meeting, on Friday (24/11) morning.
Attending the event were a number of representatives from relevant Regional Apparatus Organisations, sub-districts, and representatives of Bappenas as resource persons.
In his opening speech, Rodhial said that poverty reduction is one of the focuses of the Regional Government which is carried out systematically, and planned and must synergize with the business world and the community.
By regulation, Regional Poverty Reduction is the responsibility of the Vice Regent as the team leader. He hopes that at least this team can build coordination and hold evaluation meetings at least three times a year.
According to Rodhial, poverty reduction policies are carried out through strategies contained in the regional poverty reduction plan document that is being prepared by the TKPK secretariat of the Natuna Regency.
Rodhial detailed that the percentage of Natuna's poor population in 2022 was 5.32%, an increase of 0.37 points compared to 2021. However, this figure is still much lower than the poverty rate in the Riau province, where the proportion of poor people is 6.24%.
According to Rodhial, this percentage shows that the poverty reduction team in Natuna must work extra, because the data presented as a joint achievement, must be able to realize the existence of the government for all people, improve welfare, and reduce social inequality. (Pro_kopim/Irles)
