Inspecting the MBG Kitchen in Northeast Bunguran, Deputy Regent of Natuna Encourages Community Involvement to Boost the Local Economy

Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, S.E., inspected the preparations of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Kitchen in Tanjung Village, Northeast Bunguran District, on Tuesday afternoon (23/12), to ensure the readiness of facilities and infrastructure supporting the program.

The Deputy Regent’s visit reflects the local government’s commitment to ensuring that President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita Program is effectively implemented down to the regional level. The MBG program is one of the national priority initiatives aimed at improving the nutritional quality of school-aged children.

In addition to holding discussions with the management of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), Jarmin directly inspected several key readiness requirements, including sanitation conditions, kitchen facilities, cooking equipment, and the management system to be applied in implementing the MBG program.

During the visit, Jarmin emphasized that the local government is fully committed to supporting the implementation of this program. According to him, the success of this national initiative largely depends on preparedness and strong synergy at the regional level.

He also reminded the management to strictly adhere to hygiene and food quality standards, stressing that this is essential to ensure that the meals provided are truly healthy, nutritious, and safe for consumption.

After reviewing all aspects, Jarmin expressed his hope that the SPPG in Tanjung Village, Northeast Bunguran District, can begin operations soon. He further highlighted the importance of involving the local community in the program, with the expectation that it will also contribute to improving the economic conditions of residents in the surrounding area.
