The Universitas Gadjah Mada Nuansa Natuna Community Service Program (KKN) team initiated the Cemaga and Cemaga Tengah Village Festival (Festamaga) which was centered at the Batu Kasah Geosite in Cemaga Tengah Village on Friday (04/08) morning.
From the collaboration of the tourism promotion program, the initiator collaborated with the Cemaga and Cemaga Tengah Village Governments, with the aim of promoting the tourism sector while preserving local indigenous culture.
The activity, which was packed with thousands of visitors, was opened directly by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, accompanied by the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda and several leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations.
Also present were the Chairman of Commission 1 of the Natuna Regency DPRD, South Bunguran Sub-District Head, Village Heads, Community Leaders, as well as Students and the Community.
In his remarks, Wan Siswandi gave appreciation to the UGM KKN team who had successfully held this festival well, besides thanking various parties who had participated to make this event a success.
Wan Siswandi further explained, according to the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, there are 5 focuses of Natuna development acceleration, including marine, tourism, environment, defense and security, and oil and gas.
This activity is considered to have a high carrying capacity, especially in the tourism sector and regional cultural preservation, which will also have an impact on various other sectors, such as community economic growth through MSMEs and other community economic activities, such as culinary stalls and souvenir craftsmen and so on.
Wan Siswandi hopes that this Festival can be held regularly as support for the acceleration of the regional economy through efforts to increase the number of visits to regional tourist destinations...(Pro_kopim/Atra)
