As part of his official visit to Natuna Regency, the Governor of Riau Islands (Kepri), Ansar Ahmad—who also serves as Chairman of the Regional Scout Advisory Council (Mabida) of Riau Islands—officially inaugurated Natuna Regent, Cen Sui Lan, as Chairperson of the Branch Scout Advisory Council (Mabicab) of the Natuna Scout Movement (Kwartir Cabang) for the 2025–2030 period.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Sri Srindit Multipurpose Hall in Ranai on Sunday (August 10) afternoon. In addition to appointing the Mabicab Chairperson, the Governor also officiated the induction of Natuna Deputy Regent, Jarmin, along with the newly appointed management board of the Natuna Scout Branch (Kwarcab) for the 2025–2030 term.
In his address, Governor Ansar expressed his appreciation to Mabida and all members of the Natuna Scout Branch leadership. He underscored the vital role of the Scout Movement in shaping a generation of youth who are disciplined, possess strong integrity, and embrace a spirit of nationalism.
Governor Ansar further stated that the Scout Movement is not merely about scouting activities but focuses primarily on character education, leadership development, and social responsibility. He hopes the newly inaugurated board will bring renewed energy and enthusiasm to the advancement of scouting in Natuna.
Echoing the Governor’s remarks, Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan affirmed her full commitment to supporting all scouting development programs and activities in the region.
Regent Cen acknowledged the strategic role of the Scout Movement in nurturing the younger generation, especially in border regions where national awareness and values must be continually strengthened.
With the appointment of the new leadership, the Natuna Scout Movement is expected to be increasingly active in non-formal education, social, and community development initiatives, while also serving as a strategic partner of the regional government in fostering high-quality human resources.
The event was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of regional government organizations, community leaders, and representatives from youth organizations in Natuna. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
