First Speech: Regent Expresses Gratitude and Outlines Vision and Mission for Natuna’s Development

Held at the Plenary Meeting Room of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Natuna Regency on Jalan Yoes Soedarso, Ranai, on Wednesday morning (04/03), Regent of Natuna Cen Sui Lan attended the plenary session to deliver her inaugural speech as Regent for the 2025–2030 period, with the Vice Regent, Jarmin Sidik.

Among those present at the event were leaders and members of DPRD, members of Forkopimda, heads of regional government agencies (OPD), religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community figures.

Opening her speech, Cen Sui Lan expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the people of Natuna for entrusting her and the Vice Regent with the responsibility of leading the regency.

She then outlined their vision:
“To realize a prosperous, competitive, and culturally rich Natuna.”
This vision is expected to bring significant change to Natuna, improve community welfare, and preserve local cultural identity amid sustainable development.

To achieve this vision, several strategic missions have been established:

1. Enhancing economic growth based on maritime potential and environmentally conscious regional advantages.
2. Ensuring equitable development and improving inter-island connectivity.
3. Developing high-quality and competitive human resources.
4. Establishing transparent governance driven by technology.
5. Strengthening social resilience and preserving cultural heritage.

Concluding her speech, Cen Sui Lan sought prayers and support from all community members and Forkopimda Natuna to maintain a spirit of unity in driving positive change for the region.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of DPRD Natuna, Rusdi, delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of all DPRD members, welcoming the inauguration of Cen Sui Lan and Jarmin Sidik as Regent and the Vice Regent of Natuna for the 2025–2030 period.

Rusdi emphasized the importance of synergy between the legislative and executive branches, ensuring collaboration in policymaking and development implementation. He reaffirmed DPRD’s commitment to supporting the regional government’s programs to build a more advanced Natuna. (Pro_kopim/Atra)
