Located at the Midai District Meeting Building, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, attended and opened the Development Planning Consultation (Musrenbang) activities at the Midai District level, the year 2024, Monday (29/1) morning.
Also attending were the Deputy Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda and all the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organisations (OPD) within the Regional Government as part of the Natuna Regency Government Official Visit group in this activity.
From the host, the Head of the District and the ranks of the Midai District government, the District Leadership Elements, the Village Heads and BPD Members, community figures, heads of organisations and invitees were present.
According to Wan Siswandi, delivered in his speech, development that is a priority is not merely physical, but efforts to improve the quality of human resources, as a driver of the wheels of future development progress.
Based on this thought, the local government continues to strive to build coordination to obtain scholarship quotas for regional sons and daughters to get the opportunity to pursue higher education in strategic fields according to regional potential.
This is intended so that in the future, regional sons and daughters can be directly involved as actors in empowering regional potential, which is expected to have an impact on increasing regional independence, progress and welfare.
In addition, the scholarships obtained as a result of coordination with various higher education institutions are also intended to reduce the burden on the community, especially on the parents of the students themselves.
Alluding to the priority proposals submitted in the musrenbang this time, he hopes that the assistance team can accommodate priority programmes which are then processed to the next stage, becoming priority programme proposals at the District Level Musrenbang. However, Wan Siswandi stressed that the realisation of these proposals will always consider budget capabilities and the principle of equity.
Wan Siswandi admitted that to reach the location (Midai Island) the group was faced with unfavourable weather and high waves. However, he and his entourage still did not discourage their intention, none other than to gather and establish friendship with the people on Midai Island.
Wan Siswandi also thanked the Midai and Suak Midai District Governments and the community, who had welcomed him and his entourage. He hopes that most of the proposals submitted can be accommodated in the upcoming 2025 APBD. (Pro_kopim/Irles)
