Attended by several heads of regional government agencies, the Sub-district Head and Sub-district Leadership Forum (Uspika) of Bunguran Selatan, as well as local community leaders, Jarmin, Deputy Regent of Natuna, officially inaugurated the Interim (PAW) Village Head of Cemaga, Bunguran Selatan Sub-district, on Thursday morning (12/02).
The ceremony took place at the Cemaga Village Meeting Hall. The appointed official, Ali Usman, will continue serving as Village Head of Cemaga until the end of the 2028 term, based on the Decree of the Regent of Natuna Number 100.3.3.2-101 of 2026 dated 11 February 2026.
In his remarks, Jarmin congratulated the newly inaugurated interim village head and emphasized the importance of improving governance and administrative performance. He noted that village government plays a vital role as the frontline of public service, directly interacting with the community.
Regarding village budget management, Jarmin reminded the village head and all village officials to exercise prudence, transparency, and accountability. Village funds, he stressed, should be utilized optimally to support governance duties, improve public services, and strengthen community-based economic programs.
He also underlined the importance of building strong coordination and cooperation with various stakeholders, including the sub-district government, sub-district leadership elements, community leaders, and neighborhood units (RT/RW).
Jarmin further emphasized that public office should be regarded as a form of service and devotion. Such values, he said, can only be realized if duties are carried out sincerely and with integrity, bringing shared benefits and blessings to the wider community.
According to him, regional progress is closely linked to development achievements at the village level. Therefore, he encouraged both the village head and the community to continuously foster a spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness. With unity and solid collaboration, he expressed confidence that village development, economic growth, and community welfare can be achieved in line with shared aspirations. (Pro_kopim/red)
