Deputy Regent of Natuna Attends the 97th Mother’s Day Commemoration Ceremony, 2025

On Monday morning (22/12), the Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, served as the Ceremony Inspector at the 97th Mother’s Day Commemoration Ceremony within the Natuna Regency Government. The ceremony was held at the courtyard of the Natuna Regent’s Office, Batu Sisir Bukit Arai Street, East Bunguran District.

The event was conducted in a solemn and respectful atmosphere. Participants included regional officials and civil servants (ASN) representing various Regional Government Organizations (OPD) within the Natuna Regency Government.

On the occasion, Jarmin delivered the written address of the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia, Arifatul Fauzi. In the address, it was emphasized that the commemoration of Mother’s Day represents the nation’s appreciation for the struggles and dedication of Indonesian women in fighting for and filling the meaning of independence.

The history of Mother’s Day in Indonesia traces back to the First Indonesian Women’s Congress in 1928 in Yogyakarta, which marked a pivotal moment in the birth of the national women’s movement. Through the congress, Indonesian women came together, voiced their aspirations, and set a shared direction for their collective struggle.

With resilience, creativity, and determination, Indonesian women have continued to demonstrate that national progress is inseparable from the advancement of women. This spirit aligns with the theme of the 97th Mother’s Day commemoration: “Empowered and Productive Women Toward Golden Indonesia 2045.”

The address also conveyed the highest appreciation to all Indonesian women, while reaffirming a shared commitment to strengthening the role of women in national development in order to realize a more advanced, inclusive, and just Indonesia.

In his closing remarks, Deputy Regent Jarmin added a reminder to all civil servants to consistently comply with regulations in carrying out their duties, to continue improving discipline—both in time management and professional conduct—and to demonstrate gratitude through improved performance and dedication to public service.
