Deputy Regent of Natuna Attends Religious Gathering and Iftar with Muhammadiyah Leaders

In development, the most fundamental aspect is building quality human resources—individuals with morals rooted in norms and beliefs derived from religious teachings. To achieve this, religious figures play a crucial role in upholding faith and ethics, which help shape the ideal Muslim character.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, in his speech during the Religious Gathering and Iftar event with the Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders of Natuna Regency. The event took place at Sisi Basisir Restaurant in Ranai on Saturday night (March 15).

The event was attended by several members of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD and the Natuna Regency DPRD, as well as members of the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah organizations in Natuna. In his remarks, Jarmin expressed his appreciation and gratitude, hoping that the event would serve as a moment to strengthen Islamic brotherhood among Muslims.

He further emphasized that moving forward, the local government aims to foster synergy and alignment in efforts to develop the Muslim community, particularly the younger generation, who he believes are increasingly influenced by modern advancements.

Jarmin believes that to shape the identity of the Muslim community, religious values must be instilled from an early age. This foundation will leave a lasting impact, equipping individuals with strong faith and devotion to navigate the changes of time.

A similar sentiment was echoed by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders of Natuna Regency, Ilham Kauli, in his speech. He expressed hope that Muhammadiyah, as an Islamic-based organization, will continue to collaborate in supporting the region’s vision and mission for development—one that prioritizes prosperity, competitiveness, culture, and religious values (Pro_kopim/Patli)
