Thousands of Natuna residents flooded the main streets of Ranai City on the morning of Saturday, August 16, to witness the Archipelago Cultural Parade held in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, along with members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), was present to personally welcome the parade participants, who showcased a wide array of cultural and artistic performances.
The parade featured thousands of participants representing students, community organizations, regional associations, sub-district representatives, and various art communities. They presented traditional costumes, folk dances, and modern cultural creations that reflected the richness and diversity of Indonesia’s archipelago.
Regent Cen Sui Lan expressed her appreciation to all participants and the community for their enthusiasm and support in making the event a success. She also conveyed her hope that such activities would foster a stronger sense of unity and patriotism, while instilling in the younger generation a deep appreciation for Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.
Public enthusiasm was evident from the large number of spectators lining the parade route. The festive atmosphere was further enlivened by marching bands and captivating artistic performances.
