Natuna Regent, Cen Sui Lan, attended the commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Indonesian Policewomen Corps (Polwan), held at the Natuna Resort Police Headquarters (Mapolres Natuna), Jl. H. Adam Malik, Ranai, on Monday (September 1) afternoon.
The event was marked by a symbolic cake and tumpeng cutting ceremony led by the Natuna Police Chief together with the Regent of Natuna, accompanied by all Natuna Policewomen and witnessed by invited guests as well as members of the Natuna Resort Police.
In her remarks, Regent Cen Sui Lan expressed pride and appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the policewomen serving in Natuna Regency.
According to her, the presence of women in law enforcement provides a distinctive value within the Indonesian National Police, particularly through a more humanistic approach in serving the community.
She further emphasized that policewomen embody both courage and compassion. Their presence at the forefront of security demonstrates that women are capable of playing a vital role in fostering public order and harmony within society.
The Regent highlighted that the spirit of service upheld by policewomen aligns with the regional government’s commitment to strengthening social resilience and public security. She also encouraged policewomen to continue enhancing their competencies to achieve greater professionalism in carrying out their duties.
On this occasion, Regent Cen Sui Lan also called on all elements of society to continuously support the role and performance of both policewomen and police personnel in fulfilling their duties.
As part of the 77th Anniversary celebration, Natuna Resort Police organized a series of social activities aimed at strengthening ties with the community and fostering a conducive social environment for sustainable regional development. (Pro_kopim/Patli)
