Attending the English Global Graduation, the Vice Regent of Natuna: English is Not a Demand, but a Necessity

Along with the development of information and the demands of the times, English, which is the language of global communication, is now starting to be taught at elementary level schools (SD).

The need for mastery of English at the elementary school level is one of the important needs for students who will continue their education to advanced schools. Therefore, the existence of out-of-school education institutions/courses is currently very much felt to fulfil these needs.

This was conveyed by the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda when attending the English Global Graduation ceremony held at the Sri Serindit Building, Ranai, on Friday (15/09) morning.

Attending the event were several leaders of related Regional Apparatus Organisations, English Global teachers, and students and their guardians.

According to Rodhial, currently, elementary school students have more or less mastered basic English, although not much vocabulary, at least the courage to appear and start communicating in English has begun to appear.

This is a form of positive change from the results of curriculum changes and the existence of English language education institutions that exist today.

Therefore, Rodhial expressed his appreciation, especially to the English teachers who teach at Global English, who have contributed to increasing the knowledge and skills of students in mastering English.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Regional Library and Archives Office, Erson Gempa Afriandi also said that this activity (Global English) is a free course for elementary school students.

Erson hopes that Global English can have a positive influence on improving the ability of elementary school students, especially in mastering basic English that will support education at school.

The Global English students who took part in the graduation procession this time totaled 36 people. Furthermore, Erson appealed and invited parents and relatives of graduates to re-register students for the next batch of courses. (Pro_kopim/endang)
