Attending the Commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 H, Natuna Regent Encourages Efforts to Eliminate Qur’anic Illiteracy and Strengthen Understanding of the Qur’an

Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan, accompanied by the Deputy Regent, regional government officials, and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), attended the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 H/2026 at Masjid Agung Baitul Izza in Ranai on Friday (March 6).

The event was also attended by Islamic scholars, congregants from several mosques around Ranai, and the management of Masjid Baitul Izza, creating a solemn and meaningful atmosphere.

In her remarks, Cen Sui Lan emphasized that the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an should not be viewed merely as a ceremonial event, but rather as an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT and to make the Qur’an a guiding principle in daily life.

She also encouraged the people of Natuna Regency to uphold the values contained in the Qur’an as a foundation for building a harmonious and peaceful society, while reinforcing unity within the community.

Through the commemoration, the Regent expressed hope that Muslims would continue to deepen their love for the Qur’an—not only by helping to eliminate Qur’anic illiteracy, but also by striving to better understand and practice its teachings in everyday life. (Prokopim/Endang)
