Attending the 2026 National Press Day Commemoration, Natuna Regional Secretary Commends Journalists for Fostering a Healthy and Enlightening Information Climate

Journalists play a vital role in national development, particularly in educating the public. Through their written works and news coverage, the press serves as a key channel for expanding public insight and delivering timely and relevant information.

The commemoration of National Press Day (HPN) should therefore serve as a momentum to strengthen shared commitment and collective action—remaining adaptive to the dynamics of the times and social conditions, while continuing to contribute to the creation of a healthy, balanced, and intellectually enriching information environment.

This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto, during the 2026 National Press Day (HPN) commemoration, held at the Adiwana Jelita Sejuba Ballroom, Sepempang, Bunguran Timur District, on Monday morning (09/02).

On the same occasion, Boy Wijanarko expressed his appreciation and gratitude to journalists operating in Natuna Regency, who have consistently served as strategic partners of the local government.

According to him, the positive synergy that has been established should continue to be strengthened, while upholding responsible press freedom, in line with journalistic ethics and prevailing laws and regulations.

The event was attended by the Chairperson and Members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Forkopimda, relevant regional government agencies, representatives of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), as well as religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders, and Islamic scholars.
