Held at the Natuna Police Headquarters on Jl. H. Adam Malik, Ranai, the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare Affairs of the Regional Secretariat of Natuna Regency, Khaidir, SE, attended the 2025 Seligi Safety Operation Troop Deployment Ceremony on Monday morning (10/02).
The 2025 Seligi Safety Operation Troop Deployment Ceremony, organized by the Natuna Police, was conducted to ensure the realization of Asta Cita Kamseltibcarlantas (safe, secure, and smooth traffic) ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1446 H celebration.
The Deputy Chief of the Natuna Police, Commissioner Paten Tarigan, who served as the Inspector of the Ceremony, stated that this activity represents cross-sectoral synergy between the police and its partners in ensuring public safety, particularly in Natuna Regency.
He also explained that this operation is being conducted simultaneously across Indonesia with the primary aim of enhancing public safety and increasing compliance with traffic regulations, including both road discipline and administrative requirements for vehicle ownership.
Seligi Operation will take place from February 10 to February 23, 2025, focusing on three preventive aspects: vehicles, individuals, and road infrastructure, as well as monitoring activities that may cause public congestion.
On the same occasion, Assistant for Government Affairs, Khaidir, emphasized that this troop deployment ceremony also marks the launch of the Road Safety Action Program nationwide. This initiative aims to foster a culture of road safety among the public, positioning them as key advocates in promoting traffic security and order in Natuna Regency.
The 2025 Seligi Safety Operation was symbolically marked by the attachment of safety insignia to representatives from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Traffic Police (Satlantas), and the Police.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Natuna Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), members of Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum), district police chiefs across Natuna Regency, the Head of Jasa Raharja Natuna, and leaders of regional government agencies. The ceremony participants included personnel from the TNI, Police, and representatives from supporting agencies involved in the operation. (Prokopim/Patli)
