Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) Activities to Increase HR Capacity and Competitiveness.

To optimise the regional economy, Natuna is considered difficult to develop as investors are not yet willing to open large-scale workplaces. Therefore, the regional government requires support from all SMEs, which is deemed to greatly affect the indicators of regional economic growth.

This was stated by the Regional Secretariat Administrative Assistant of Natuna Regency, H. Tasrif, on behalf of the Regent of Natuna while officially opening the Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) of the Human Resources Capacity and Competitiveness Improvement Programme, held at the Trend Central Hall, Jalan Pramuka, Ranai, on Monday (13/03) morning.

He explained that there are various obstacles faced by SMEs in developing their business so far, including lack of motivation and courage to do innovations, limited access to capital and a very limited commercial network.

Through the AMT activity, Tasrif hoped that the SMEs will have the information and skills, both technical and managerial in developing their business, increasing output and improving their welfare.

He believed that by improving the abilities and skills, insights and motivation that this training will provide, it would be able to make the trainees more courageous to develop their businesses.

Marwan Sjahputra, Head of the Natuna Regency Disperindagkop, on the same occasion stated that the purpose of this programme was to boost the motivation of SMEs to be competitive, innovative, and able to see the opportunities for developing businesses.

The 30 trainees who took part in this programme were SMEs supported by the Disperindagkop and UM, namely marine products processing, sweet potato chips, and fish crackers.

Several leaders and representatives from Regional Apparatus Organisations, Sub-District Heads and Village Heads in Bunguran Timur Sub-District attended the event.(Pro_kopim/Sri)
