Attended by representatives of Regional Apparatus Organisations within the Natuna Regency Government, Natuna Regency KONI administrators and sports branch organisations, and other invitees, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi attended the Bonus Handover occasion for outstanding athletes at the 2022 Popda and Porprov events, held at Sisi Basisir Restaurant, Jalan Wan Muhammad Benteng, Ranai, Wednesday (13/12) night.
In his speech, Wan Siswandi expressed his apologies on behalf of the local government for the late give of bonuses to athletes due to the current financial conditions and were not budgeted last year.
Wan Siswandi said that Popda and Porprov activities at the Riau Islands Provincial Level are sustainable competency events. It is hoped all sports athletes can continue to train themselves, through positive activities to improve their abilities and self-competence.
Furthermore, on the same occasion the Head of the Natuna Regency Youth and Sports Service, Suhardi also expressed his gratitude to the Regent of Natuna for the budget allocation of bonuses given to athletes who performed at the Porprov and Popda Kepri events last year.
Suhardi explained in 2024, Popda event will be held in Batam City. It is hoped the coaches can prepare the athletes, prepare the Natuna Regency contingent to be more competitive and make the region be proud (Pro-Kopim (D&S)
