Located in Piwang Beach, Ranai, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi attended the General Election Preparedness Assembly in Natuna Regency, on Thursday (30/11) morning.
The assembly was attended by members of the Natuna Regency Forkopimda, the Head of Bakesbangpol Natuna and invitees. The participants consisted of the District and Village Panwaslu and the security forces (TNI and Polri).
To welcome the General Election year (2024), the Natuna Regency Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) held an alert assembly to prepare for the campaign stage, and to ensure that it was held by applicable regulations and rules.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of Bawaslu Natuna, Siswandi as well as taking the assembly. He thanked the stakeholders for their presence in supporting the implementation of the 2024 election supervision alert.
Siswandi emphasised to the Election Supervisors in each sub-district and village to maintain the values of integrity and neutrality during the campaign stage until the end of the election period.
Bawaslu as an election supervisory institution views the campaign period as a real test of the quality of this nation's democracy. For this reason, all election instruments should be able to support to ensure that political competition takes place honestly and fairly and without any engineering.
Siswandi further reminded all parties to stay away from the practice of money politics, intimidation and the spread of fake news that can damage the democratic process.
Siswandi also invited the entire community to maintain unity and integrity and uphold democratic values, actively involving themselves in the journey towards dignified elections to build a better democratic future.
At the end of the assembly, the Regent of Natuna, the Chairperson of Bawaslu and Forkopimda symbolically released the balloon as a sign of the commencement of the General Election Campaign preparation in Natuna Regency. (Pro_kopim/Irles)
