Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) should be used as a real effort for Muslims to generate enthusiasm to explore the noble values contained in the holy verses of the Qur'an, making it a guide to life towards divine pleasure.
But nowadays there is often a shift in values, where the activity is only used as a crowd event, to visit and shop. The purpose of this activity must be returned to the main hope, as a momentum to increase the faith and devotion of the people and ukhuwah Islamiyah.
This was conveyed by the Vice Regent of Natuna, Rodhial Huda, when he officially opened the MTQ I level of Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, centred in Kelanga Village on Sunday (30/7) night.
Several leadership elements were present, including the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Natuna DPRD and members, the Chairman of the MUI, the Village Heads in Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, scholars and local community leaders.
Rodhial also hopes that the entire series of activities can run smoothly and can reap the results of participants who can compete at the Regency level as competitive Tilawatil Qur'an ambassadors.
Furthermore, the Head of Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-District, Yurnalis also expressed his gratitude to all elements involved in this event, with the hope that it can run smoothly.
Yurnalis also hopes that this activity can also be used as a medium to build motivation in the tilawatil qur'an coaching sector in Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-district.
The MTQ I activity at the Bunguran Timur Laut sub-district level was attended by 7 village kafila. In addition, there is also an exhibition bazaar filled with various culinary and handicraft items from all villages in Bunguran Timur Laut Sub-district. (Pro_kopim/Irles)
