Ranai, which is currently the capital of Natuna Regency, has reached the age of 152 years. Many changes and progress have occurred in all fields, improving the quality of basic facilities and infrastructure development which has an impact on improving the welfare of the community.
The new face of Ranai City now more or less depicts a miniature of Natuna Regency's development even though the geography of this area is basically an archipelago. However, the Regional Government seeks to prioritise the principle of equity for the entire region.
This was conveyed by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, in his speech when he was the Inspector of the Ceremony to Commemorate the 152nd Anniversary of Ranai City, 2023, which was centred at the Bunguran Timur Sub-District Office, Thursday (27/07 morning).
Wan Siswandi added that this anniversary should be used as a momentum to learn, study and preserve various values of ancestral heritage, both history, culture, local wisdom and various treasures that form the identity of Natuna people in general.
To all elements of government and the people of Bunguran Timur Subdistrict, appreciation was conveyed and hoped that this anniversary could be interpreted with a joint effort to strengthen friendship and brotherhood and make differences as potential to face the challenges of more dynamic regional development in the future.
On this occasion, the Regent of Natuna also had the opportunity to hand over a Charter of Awards to villages and villages in the implementation of the Evaluation Assessment of Village and Village Development in Bunguran Timur District in 2023.
Also attending the event were the Chairman and several members of the Natuna Regency DPRD, members of Forkopimda, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organisations, Sub-District Heads, Village Heads, community leaders, and traditional leaders. (Pro_kopim/Sri)
