The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, opened an audience with the Natuna Anambas Special Province Formation Agency Team, located in the Meeting Room of the Natuna Regent's Office, 2nd floor, Jl Batu Sisir Bukit Arai, Monday (24/07) morning.
Present at the event were related Regional Apparatus Organisations (OPD) and Team Members of the Natuna Anambas Special Province Formation Agency.
Wan Siswandi when opening the activity said that the local government fully supports the efforts and steps taken by the Special Province Formation Agency team, according to existing capacities and capabilities.
Therefore, this discussion must really be focused on joint steps by looking at various regulations and administrations that must be fulfilled.
According to Wan Siswandi, this struggle must continue to be rushed to seek to improve and accelerate regional development. With togetherness and continuing to follow the existing stages and regulations, he is sure that the Special Province can be realised.
He also explained that so far the local government has also submitted proposals and recommendations to both the Governor of Riau Islands and the Ministry of Home Affairs, regarding support for the proposed expansion of this region.
Through this meeting, Wan Siswandi hopes that there will be discussions that will further direct strategic steps in a joint effort to realise this Special Province.
On the same occasion, the Team Leader, Umar Natuna also hoped that all participants could provide ideas and views that would become recommendations and considerations for the struggle for a special province in the future.
According to Umar, Natuna deserves to be a province considering the geographical location, the existence of regional potential and the urgency of realising an advanced border region as a miniature of Indonesia's development on the border of the Republic of Indonesia.
With the status of a special province, Natuna Anambas will also get great rights and opportunities to spur development, provide opportunities for regional children in terms of getting education, health, opportunities to improve welfare and development in all fields. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
