Natuna Regency Children’s Jamboree in Commemoration of National Children’s Day

The Regent of Natuna, represented by the Assistant for Governance of the Regional Secretariat, Khaidir, had the opportunity to officially open the Natuna Regency Level Children's Jamboree in the framework of the National Children's Day Commemoration, held at the Learning Activity Studio Building (SKB) Padang Kurang Kelurahan Bandarsyah, Thursday (20/07) morning.

Attending the event were several leaders and representatives from Regional Apparatus Organisations, and training participants who were a combination of children's forum members throughout Natuna Regency.

In his speech, Khaidir said that as the next generation of development, the existence of children is very important and must get serious attention, by providing protection from things that can damage and interfere with the development and growth of children.

Khaidir advised all participants of the activity in particular to continue to strive to develop their positive creativity, in order to participate in realising a better life for children in the future.

Sri Riawati, Head of the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB), reported that this activity aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for children, create quality space in order to improve family care as an effort to prevent violence and exploitation against children.

In addition, this activity also aims to educate children and parents as well as the environment regarding the prevention of child marriage, family economic empowerment in an effort to improve the quality of children.

This Jamboree activity was attended by 45 children consisting of various communities who are members of children's forums from district, sub-district, nearest and pilot villages of women-friendly and child-caring villages, this training will be held for 3 days.(Pro_kopim/Sri)
