Attended by the Vice Chairman of the Natuna Regency DPRD, members of the Forkompimda, and all leaders of Regional Apparatus Organisations, the Regional Secretary of Natuna Regency, Boy Wijanarko Varianto, led the Preparation Meeting for the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in 2023.
In the event held in the Meeting Room of the Natuna Regent's Office, last Friday (14/07), Boy Wijanarko in his opening remarks said that for this year Natuna Regency was determined to host the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day at the Riau Islands Province level.
As for the meeting, which is a follow-up to the virtual meeting that has been held previously with the ranks of the Kepri Provincial committee, it is planned that the Minister of Home Affairs will be present who will be the Inspector of Ceremonies, in addition to the Governor and the Provincial Government of Riau Islands.
Boy added, in addition to the main series of activities that will be held at Piwang Beach, Ranai, a series of activities to commemorate the Republic of Indonesia's anniversary, several activities will also be held at the same location, including the UMKM Product Exhibition, musical performances and sports competitions.
Considering that this activity will be attended by state officials and the ranks of the Riau Islands Provincial Government, all stakeholders and elements involved in the committee are expected to make careful preparations and build coordination, with the hope that readiness will be maximised, both in welcoming and serving guests, as well as preparing for the entire series of events.
The Head of the National Unity and Political Affairs Agency, Helmi Wahyuda at that time reported that the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia raised the theme 'keep moving forward for advanced Indonesia'.
The main activities of the commemoration include the Inauguration of Paskibraka which will be held at the Sri Serindit Multipurpose Building and the Night of Honour and Sacred Reflection at the Natuna Heroes Cemetery, Wednesday (16/8) night, and the Proclamation and Flag Lowering Ceremony, located at Piwang Beach, Thursday (17/8).
