The Regent of Natuna: Prevent Corruption, Village Financial Management Must Be Appropriated

Located in Limau Manis Village, Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, on Wednesday (7/6) morning, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, officially opened the Technical Guidance of the Anticorruption Village Programme at the Riau Islands Province Level.

The Anti-Corruption Village Programme Technical Guidance was attended by representatives from the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.

Wan Siswandi in his speech said that Limau manis Village has been designated as an anti-corruption pilot village. With this status, all government officials and development elements have been mandated to carry out their respective functions, both as planners, implementers and as development monitoring functions.

One of the implementations of the anti-corruption village is to realise transparency in the implementation of the use of the village budget. Therefore, Wan Siswandi hopes that information media will be available, both in the form of announcement signs, baleho and websites that can be accessed / seen by all local communities.

Wan Siswandi emphasized that the village budget must be managed according to its allocation, as much as possible to support the acceleration of development, progress and the realisation of welfare.

Meanwhile, to prevent budget misuse / criminal acts of corruption, prudence in the use of the budget needs to be increased, community empowerment efforts and coordination with supervisory and law enforcement agencies must continue to be established, as an effort to prevent criminal acts of corruption of the village budget.

This has also been done by the local government with the same intent and purpose, by cooperating with the prosecutor's office as a companion institution for budget implementation at the district level, in order to prevent administrative errors and criminal acts of corruption.

Mentioning the quality of public services, Wan Siswandi also hopes that the village government will continue to strive to improve the human resources of the apparatus, fulfil service support facilities and conduct periodic evaluations to see the level of service satisfaction from the community.
