Located at the Sri-Serindit Building, Ranai, the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi attended the Natuna Anambas Province Formation Study, between the Expert Team and the Natuna Regency Community, Friday (26/05) morning.
Present at the event were Deputy Chairman II of the Natuna Regency DPRD, Jarmin Sidik and several DPRD members, FKPD members, OPD leaders, DPRD members, MUI chairman, LAM chairman, KNPI chairman, sub-district heads, resource persons from Raja Ali Haji University University, Natuna Anambas Province Formation Team.
In his remarks Wan Siswandi said, congratulations to Umar Natuna who was elected as Chairman of the Struggle for the Establishment of Natuna Anambas Province. He is expected to be able to build a solid team in undergoing various stages that must be passed for the process of forming the province.
According to Wan Siswandi, it is time for Natuna and Anambas Regencies to become provinces considering that these two regencies are located in strategic border and outermost areas. Through this team, the community hopes to bring the two districts into a special province.
To welcome the formation of a special province, Natuna continues to make improvements in various fields, including infrastructure such as roads, electricity and water / dams, airports.
As for improving human resources, Wan Siswandi has also signed cooperation with various universities, including Akamigas, Pertamina University, PLN, Surabaya Shipbuilding, the Ministry of KKP, the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Trade related to providing scholarships or free tuition for the sons and daughters of the region.
According to him, this is the implementation of his duties as regional head in accordance with the order of the Minister of Home Affairs, to accommodate aspirations related to the Establishment of Natuna Anambas Province, namely in the first year is infrastructure, second is the improvement of human resources and infrastructure, third is economic improvement.
Furthermore, on the same occasion, the Head of the Government and Regional Autonomy Bureau of Riau Islands Province, Zainal Arifin in his remarks said that his party would conduct an academic valuation study, prepare materials for structuring the formulation of regional policies in the field of administration to be scientifically accountable, and facilitate the Implementation of the Establishment of Natuna Anambas Province.
On behalf of the Riau Islands Regional Government, Zainal expressed his appreciation to the Regent and Regional Government of Natuna Regency and the Provincial Intelligence Agency, Natuna Anambas for facilitating this activity.
According to Zainal, the best hope for realising the aspirations and ideals of the people of Natuna and Anambas to form a special province, is solid teamwork and experts in their fields, as well as support from all parties. (Pro-Kopim (D)
