The field of archives is one of the most vital service tasks, especially as a form of track record in the implementation of tasks, history of an event, proof, and accountability.
Moreover, in carrying out development, government and excellent service tasks, efforts to manage orderly administration must continue to be improved.
The above was conveyed by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, when attending the 52nd Anniversary of Archives Day, 2023, which was aligned with the Declaration of the National Archive Awareness Movement (GNSA) within the Natuna Regency government, which was held in the courtyard of the Natuna Regency Library and Archives Office, Jalan Si Hotang. Ranai, Tuesday (23/05) morning.
Attending the event were members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organisations, several sub-district heads, teachers and teaching staff and several village heads.
Wan Siswandi further explained that the importance of orderly administration must really be implemented to prevent various administrative problems, such as the text of the cooperation agreement.
He said that most of the implementation of the Regional Apparatus Organisation's duties was inseparable from cooperative relations outside government agencies, where rights and obligations were clearly stated.
If the implementation of archives is organised in an orderly manner, it will certainly be able to prevent various problems in the future, such as cooperation disputes.
At the village or kelurahan level, it is not uncommon for administrative disputes to occur, such as the process of buying and selling land. Based on the recognition of several communities, there are often overlapping land titles due to poorly managed administrative archives. Surely this is not expected to happen in the future.
Therefore, Wan Siswandi hopes that all government institutions, both OPD, village government and even the Rt / RW level, must really be able to manage administration properly as a form of mandate in the implementation of services for the community.
In addition, Wan Siswandi also feels that in the future archive management can be organised more professionally through adequate budget allocations. This was stated as a form of support for the implementation of GNSA within the Natuna Regency Government.
Through efforts to improve the implementation of orderly administration, Wan Siswandi hopes that in the future the implementation of development can support the improvement of service quality as stated in the 2021-2026 Regional Development Vision and Mission, namely increasing the competitiveness of human resources to support increased regional competitiveness.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Library and Archives Service, Erson Gempa Afriandi reported that in the future there will be 7 big agendas as a series of GNSA launches, as a realisation of the development of the two areas of OPD authority he leads, namely in the library sector and the archives sector.
In addition, to commemorate National Book Day, the Library and Archives Office will hold several activities, including the Operational Opening of the Digital Reading Corner at Piwang Beach, the appearance of the best participants in English speeches, announcing and giving prizes to the Best Librarians for elementary, junior high and high school levels who are recorded as the most visitors, signing an MoU between the Regional Government and the Navy in the context of increasing the Literacy Movement in Natuna Regency.
In addition, there will also be a Cooperation Agreement between the Library and Archives Office and the Indonesian Teachers Association of Natuna Management, regarding the improvement of reading through regional libraries and school libraries in the context of the regional literacy movement, and several other activities.
