Friday (17/03/2023) morning, the Regent of Natuna, represented by Assistant III, Tasrif, attended and opened the 2023 Natuna Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Branch Conference held at the Natuna Hotel Hall, Ranai Darat.
Those attended the event included the Head of Natuna Ministry of Religious Affairs, Natuna Police Representative, Chairman of MUI Riau Islands Province, Chairman of MUI Natuna, representatives of sub-district MUI boards, GP Ansor, Religious Leaders and also representatives of Muslimat NU Natuna.
Tasrif expressed his apologies for the absence of the Regent of Natuna due to his duty as landslide disaster response coordinator in Serasan Island.
Tasrif said that as the second largest forum after the Konferwil, the Konfercab NU has a strategic value to bring and set the direction of the NU organisation in the future. For this reason, NU is expected to be able to put religious and national values into an effort in da'wah and struggle to support the implementation of regional development.
Tasrif reminded NU to be consistent in conducting guidance, especially for administrators at every level of the organisation, where administrators and cadres should be the spearhead of agents of change and implementers of innovative programs to increase the organisation's role in society, nation and state.
In addition, through this Konfercab activity, it should be used as a momentum in increasing awareness and concern for the current reality of social conditions that are deemed to be a concern, as changes in all fields continue to affect the identity of the people.
Tasrif believed that NU will be able to become a stronghold of faith for the people who are currently faced with changes and advances in the times, which have widely caused a shift in the nation's faith and morals. (Pro_kopim/irles)
