The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, attended the National Seminar on Human Resource Management initiated by the Master of Management Study Programme at the University of Batam (Uniba) and the Institute for Research and Community Service.
The seminar, held at Rumengan Hall Uniba on Saturday (4/30), highlighted the theme 'Human Resource Management Strategies in Government and Private Agencies for Cross-Generation'.
Appearing as speakers, several figures, including the Governor of Riau Islands (Ansar Ahmad) Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Suhajar Diantoro), and representatives from the private sector, Human Capital Director of PT Link Net Tbk (Yosafet Hutagalung).
In the midst of the activity, Wan Siswandi explained that the local government is currently developing a strategy to develop regional human resources, such as through coordination and cooperation that results in scholarship programs from several higher education institutions.
This is expected to become a great opportunity for local youth to get a university education, on strategic majors that hopefully will produce competitive workforces in the future.
Wan Siswandi further explained that back in 2022, the local government successfully coordinated with the National Police, and as a result, the recruitment of Bintara and Tamtama Polri candidates for the Proactive Recruitment (Repro) programme was held in Natuna.
The same thing for the Air Force unit, due to the concern of Danlanud Raden Sadjad, Ranai, the recruitment of Taruna-Taruni Air Force Academy (AAU) will also be held in Natuna this year.
The various efforts above are evidence of the local government's commitment to realising the development of human resources that are prepared to fill the role of regional development in the future. (Pro_kopim/dF)
