The Regent of Natuna Attends The Ceremony of Laying of The First Stone of Jabal Tursina Mosque – Bandarsyah

The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, laid the foundation stone of the Jabal Tursina Mosque, which is located at Bandarsyah, H. Adam Malik St., Ranai, on Sunday (5/02/23) morning, accompanied by the Vice Regent of Natuna, the Forkominda, Head of the Ministry of Religion or who represented, and the Chairman of LAM.

Wan Siswandi stated in his remarks that he was very pleased with this development, especially given the distance from the existing mosque. However, he hopes that, aside from collaborative efforts to build houses of worship, the most important thing is how to liven up the mosque through various religious activities.

In order for the local government to support the construction of this mosque, the Head of The South Bunguran Timur was instructed to include this development plan in the Musrenbang at the sub-district level.

In 2024, Wan Siswandi will strive to support the construction process of this mosque through the APBD, which suits budget constraints, in order to actualize the Bandarsyah community's desire for a mosque to pray.

Wan Siswandi explained that from the start of his tenure as regional head, one of the main goals was to make use of the Grand Mosque, which is one of the results of the iconic region's transformation into a religious center.

Furthermore, in recent years, it has been felt that the condition of the Natuna Grand Mosque requires special attention, such as the condition of lighting in both the mosque's main building and the access road to the mosque.

Given the significance of development in the field of faith, Wan Siswandi continued to appeal on this occasion, particularly to the State Civil Apparatus, to support the program to revitalize the mosques, particularly the Natuna Grand Mosque.

On the same occasion, Natuna Ministry of Religion representative, Sabirin stated that the management and preparation for the construction of the Jabal Tursina Mosque had been carried out in accordance with the joint regulations of the Ministers of Religion and Home Affairs, namely Regulations number 6 and 9, concerning regional duties towards religious harmony with the establishment of houses of worship in accordance with the provisions and must apply fairly to all religions.

Future management of information-based mosque management systems should be carried out with a modern, independent-based management system. It is intended that this mosque can be further developed, not only in terms of physical development, but also in terms of how to manage in order to prosper the mosque that has been built.

On the same occasion, Haetrsian, Chairman of the Jabal Tursina Mosque Construction Committee, stated that the construction of this mosque was motivated by the community's long-held desire for a mosque in the vicinity of Bandarsyah Ujung, given the distance to the existing mosque.

Based on the foregoing, the existing religious leaders convened and formed a mosque construction committee, which established coordination with government officials and related institutions as an extension of the community in the process of constructing this mosque.

The mosque will be 15 x 21 meters in size and will be built on a 40x40 M plot of land at a cost of $2 to $3 billion.

He also stated that he had made it possible for funders to contribute to the construction of the Tursina Bandarsyah Mosque. The mosque will be used for children's and adult recitations, will have a library of reading materials, and will be one of the people's muamalat centers.

A Thank You was also expressed to all those who initiated the construction of this mosque, to the landowner who donated it for the mosque's construction, and to all those who provided material and energetic support. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
