The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, inaugurated 37 elected Village Heads on Wednesday noon (18/01/2023) at the Sri Srindit Building, Yos Sudarso St. Batu Hitam, Ranai, of the simultaneous village head elections on November 28th 2022.
Wan Siswandi, in his speech, urged the newly elected Village Heads not to be arrogant and proud of their victory. Furthermore, in carrying out their responsibilities, they must be neutral, not forming factions which will result in societal divisions.
All village heads must be able to remain neutral while providing services to the entire community, including both supporters and opponents. This position will be clearly accounted for, both in the eyes of humans and as a mandate of law, as well as in the eyes of Allah, the Almighty God.
Wan Siswandi also reminded residents that the village heads' responsibilities, particularly of the development implementation and budget management, are overseen by a number of parties, including auditors and law enforcement agencies.
Therefore, for development to proceed smoothly, the village heads must be able to bridge community's aspirations and build coordination with various parties, particularly auditors and law enforcement agencies.
The village heads must continue to build harmonization both internally and structurally with the village administration, the village representative council, and various service institutions at the village level, in order to provide professional services to the community.
Wan Siswandi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of various parties related to the implementation of the 2022 Pilkades, which ensured the elections were conducted safely and orderly, and that the 37 currently inaugurated Village Heads were elected. (Pro_kopim/Endang)
