In order to welcome the New Year 2023, the Government of Natuna Regency held the Istiqhasah and salat al-jama'ah (congregational prayer) which was held at the Natuna Grand Mosque, last Saturday (12/31).
The Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi, together with The Vice Regent of Natuna, Heads of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), members of the Regional Leadership Coordinating Forum (Forkopimda), the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), local religious and community leaders attended the occasion.
Wan Siswandi in his speech, stated his hopes that in 2023 Natuna Regency would always be blessed and plan for any disasters and distress.
In order to liven up the Natuna Grand Mosque, which is one of the iconic development results of Natuna, Wan Siswandi said that he would continue to conduct recitation and to read yasin as a weekly agenda (every Thursday/Friday night), which would engage the civil servants of the Natuna Regency Government.
The Istiqhasah and salat al-jama'ah (congregational prayer) was led by H. Budi Dermawan (The Head of Natuna Regency Ministry of Religious Affairs), started with performing the Maghrib (prayer) and continued with the Isha (prayer) in congregation.
Additionally, Wan Siswandi had the opportunity to distribute the donations of Sembako Packages to flood victims occurred some time ago, hopefully it would ease their burden. (Pro_kopim/Irsyan)
