The Regent of Natuna Inaugurates Natuna Dive Resort Souvenir Centre

The presence of this regional souvenir centre which is a part of the lodging visitors will be a good move to introduce the regional products, considering visitor accommodation is one of the essential needs.

The management is also optimistically able to partner up with a number of MSME owners, as an attempt to support the marketing promotion strategy which has an impact on the development and the welfare of the business.

It is conveyed by the Regent of Natuna, Wan Siswandi when inaugurating the souvenir centre located at Natuna Dive Resort (NDR), Sepempang Village, East Bunguran Sub-District, Monday Night(25/04)

Wan Siswandi states the local government therefore strongly supports the inauguration of NDR hoping that Natuna’s top products can be more widely known, especially by visitors from outside Natuna stay at NDR.

From his point of view, in order to maximize the marketing process and the availability of wide area for souvenirs, by displaying a sample of the finished products in the location can possibly be a good strategy, while the others are stored in different location.

Recognising the big potential of this souvenir centre, Wan Siswandi promises will continuously support its development looking for able to partner up with various MSMEs products, —either the handicrafts or typical culinary of Natuna for the greater increase of business growth.

The owner of NDR, Bobby adds that mats of pandan leaves from Serasan and printed batik pattern of Natuna are two most popular and much in demand handicraft products by visitors who frequently stay at NDR.

By the presence of souvenir center, Bobby wishes to partner up with a number of MSME owners afterwards, not only to support the growth of creative economy for regional MSME owners but also to promote regional tourism sector.

The Head of Dekranasda of Natuna Regency, Septi Dwiani Wan Siswandi, cuts the ribbon in NDR Souvenir Center inauguration. The Vice Regent of Natuna and the wife, the Regional Secretary, the Head of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (Indonesian Woman Association) of Natuna Regency, and several Heads of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) of Natuna Regency Government along with other invitees also attend the occasion.
