Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan attended the farewell ceremony for the outgoing Commander of the Ranai Naval Base (Lanal Ranai), Navy Colonel (P) Ady Dharmawan, held at the Sri Serindit Multipurpose Hall in Ranai on Monday evening (July 13).
The event was attended by Natuna Deputy Regent, members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Regional Secretary, heads of vertical agencies, community leaders, and members of the Ranai Naval Base family.
In her remarks, Regent Cen Sui Lan expressed her sincere appreciation and gratitude to Colonel Ady Dharmawan for his dedication, professionalism, and close cooperation throughout his tenure as Commander of Lanal Ranai.
She said the strong partnership between the Natuna Regency Government and the Ranai Naval Base, together with other institutions within the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, has played an important role in supporting regional development. Their collaboration has been particularly valuable in safeguarding Indonesia’s sovereignty in the border region while maintaining security and social stability across Natuna.
The Regent also conveyed her best wishes to Colonel Ady as he prepares to take on his new assignment. She expressed hope that Natuna would remain a memorable chapter in his career and that the strong ties built during his service would continue long into the future.
In his farewell remarks, Colonel Ady Dharmawan admitted that leaving Natuna was an emotional moment, as he had grown close to the personnel of Lanal Ranai and colleagues across the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum.
He also offered his heartfelt apologies for any shortcomings or mistakes during his time in office and thanked the Natuna Regency Government, fellow government institutions, security agencies, and the people of Natuna for their support and cooperation.
According to Colonel Ady, the strong sense of teamwork and mutual support among government institutions and cross-sector partners has been one of the highlights of his assignment in Natuna.
He concluded by expressing hope that the solid partnership among agencies responsible for safeguarding Indonesia’s border region would continue to grow stronger, contributing not only to national security but also to the sustainable development of Natuna.
The evening concluded with the presentation of commemorative gifts from the Regent and Deputy Regent of Natuna, the Chair of the DPRD, the Regional Secretary, members of Forkopimda, and representatives of various government institutions as a token of appreciation for Colonel Ady Dharmawan’s service and dedication.
