Natuna Regional Secretary Boy Wijanarko Varianto attended the third Gelar Karya exhibition of the Non-Formal Education and Community Learning Center (PNF-SKB) Natuna on Thursday (21/05) at the Sri Serindit Multipurpose Hall in Ranai. The event carried the theme “Unlimited Creativity Through Deep Learning.”
In his remarks, Boy highlighted the important role of non-formal education in providing learning opportunities for individuals who missed out on formal schooling. Through programs equivalent to elementary, junior high, and senior high school education, PNF-SKB enables learners to obtain recognized qualifications while improving their knowledge and skills.
He expressed the Natuna Regency Government’s appreciation for the dedication of SKB administrators and educators, whose efforts have helped many residents continue their education and earn qualifications equivalent to those offered by formal schools.
Addressing the graduates, Boy encouraged them to view their educational achievements as more than a pathway to obtaining certificates. Instead, he urged them to continue developing practical skills, creativity, and self-confidence to better navigate community life, employment opportunities, and future challenges.
He also praised the commitment of teachers and instructors, describing their patience, sincerity, and dedication in guiding learners in Package A, Package B, and Package C programs, as well as various training courses, as invaluable contributions to society.
The Regional Secretary emphasized that human resource development is becoming increasingly important as Natuna pursues recognition as a UNESCO Global Geopark. According to him, this goal can only be achieved through the contribution of productive, creative, and innovative people who are capable of driving sustainable regional development.
The event was attended by representatives of regional government agencies, sub-district and village officials, the Secretary of Natuna Geopark, educators, parents, and students. Prokopim/D
