Natuna Regency Government Holds the 67th National Education Day Commemoration 2026

The Natuna Regency Government held a ceremony to commemorate the 67th National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 at the Natuna Regent’s Office yard on Jalan Batu Sisir, Bukit Arai, Monday morning (May 4).

In the ceremony, Natuna Regent Cen Sui Lan served as the ceremony inspector and delivered the official message of Indonesia’s Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed.

In the speech, it was emphasized that based on the 1945 Constitution and Law Number 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, education is essentially a process of enlightening the nation and shaping its civilization.

Education is also seen as a process of developing human potential so individuals can grow into people who are faithful and devoted to God Almighty, morally grounded, intelligent, skilled, independent, physically and mentally healthy, honest, responsible, democratic, and equipped with strong character values.

The message also highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita vision, which views education as a collective effort to build outstanding, resilient, and competitive Indonesian human resources in order to create a more advanced, prosperous, and dignified nation.

Based on this vision, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has introduced the Deep Learning approach as one of its priority programs to improve education quality and support the achievement of national education goals.

The speech also quoted a popular saying: “If you want to advance a nation, improve its education. If you want to improve education, start from inside the classroom.”
Deep Learning, according to the ministry, is part of the effort to realize the ideals of Indonesia’s national education system.

The event was attended by a number of regional officials, including the Natuna Vice Regent, Regional Secretary, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), assistants to the regional government, heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), education figures, teachers, community leaders, civil servants, and student representatives from senior high schools across Bunguran Timur District.
