Commemorating National Village Day 2026, Natuna Deputy Regent Urges Village Heads to Uphold the Law for Rural Development

Village governance essentially serves as the frontline of national development, playing a vital role in determining the direction of progress and realizing public welfare. However, in practice, the administration of government and development at the village level must always be carried out within a clear legal framework, guided by applicable principles, regulations, and laws.

This was conveyed by Natuna Deputy Regent Jarmin while serving as the Inspector of the Ceremony at the National Village Day (HDN) 2026 commemoration, held at the courtyard of the Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict Office on Thursday morning (15/01).

Jarmin emphasized that village governments must be able to exercise and safeguard their authority responsibly, particularly in the management and use of Village Funds.

He stressed that Village Funds must be managed prudently, transparently, and accountably, and must be truly allocated to support village development and improve community welfare.

Therefore, Jarmin expressed his hope that all village administrations across Natuna Regency would implement good and professional village governance, in full compliance with prevailing laws and regulations.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), Commission I of the Natuna Regency DPRD, the Regional Secretary, the Coordinator of the Regent’s Special Staff, heads of regional government agencies (OPD), the Chairperson of the PKK, subdistrict heads, village heads, leaders of village empowerment teams across Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, community leaders, and other invited guests.
