The commemoration of the 97th Mother’s Day in 2025, as part of the national agenda, also serves as an implementation of the Asta Cita and the Fast, Best-Result Programs (PHTCC) framework aimed at improving the quality of human resources, strengthening protection systems, eliminating discrimination, and accelerating women’s empowerment across various sectors.
One of the key focuses to be achieved is the government’s commitment to taking strategic steps to continuously strengthen legal and policy frameworks. These include the enforcement of the Law on the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS), the Domestic Violence Law (PKDRT), the implementation of CEDAW, and the mainstreaming of gender perspectives across all development sectors.
These efforts are intended to ensure that Indonesian women have equal opportunities, are protected from violence, free from discrimination, and able to be empowered and productive in accordance with their full potential.
The above points were conveyed by Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, in his remarks at the Peak Event of the 97th Mother’s Day Commemoration, held at the hall of Sisi Basisir Restaurant, Datuk Kaya Wan Muhammad Benteng Street, Ranai, on Monday morning (22/12).
Jarmin further emphasized that achieving these goals requires concrete actions from all stakeholders. Success, he noted, depends greatly on cross-sector collaboration, public support, and sustained commitment to ensuring that women at the regional level can fully participate and excel in development.
Therefore, he called on all elements of government, the business sector, civil society, women’s organizations, educational institutions, the media, and all development stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in realizing justice and gender equality as a foundation toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
Also in attendance at the event were the Regional Secretary, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (FKPD), heads of Regional Government Organizations, and chairs or representatives of women’s organizations throughout Natuna Regency.
During the event, the Deputy Regent of Natuna also presented Satya Lencana Karya Satya Awards and provided assistance to home-based industries. (Prokopim (D&S))
