On Tuesday morning (25/11), the Regent of Natuna paid a working visit to Midai State Kindergarten (TK Negeri Midai) to hand over Educational Play Equipment (APE) and to review the ongoing revitalization of educational facilities in Midai District. This initiative is part of the regional government’s broader effort to enhance the quality of education services from early childhood—an essential foundation for sustainable human resource development.
In her remarks, the Regent reaffirmed the importance of providing adequate facilities for educational institutions, particularly early childhood education, which plays a strategic role in building students’ character and foundational skills. The APE provided is expected to enrich teaching and learning activities through creative and interactive play-based approaches.
The visit also included an inspection of the revitalization of the Midai District kindergarten building, which is currently in progress. The project aims to improve infrastructure so it becomes more suitable, safe, and aligned with national education standards. The regional government is committed to ensuring that a supportive learning environment can serve as an optimal growth space for children.
In addition to the APE, the Regent also handed over Digital Interactive Boards, known as Interactive Flat Panels (IFP), to seven schools across Midai District. This support represents a concrete step toward advancing education digitalization by enhancing technology-based learning methods that keep pace with modern developments.
The beneficiary schools include SDN 1 Sabang Barat, SDN 2 Air Putih, SDN 3 Sabang Barat, SDN 4 Gunung Sebelat, SDN 1 Batu Belanak, SDN 2 Gunung Jambat, and SMPN 1 Midai in Suak Midai District. With these digital devices, classroom learning is expected to become more interactive, engaging, and capable of improving students’ technological literacy.
School principals welcomed the assistance and expressed hope that the technology would be used optimally in daily learning activities. The integration of IFPs is also expected to enhance teachers’ competencies in utilizing digital learning resources as part of pedagogical innovation.
The Regent emphasized that strengthening the education sector involves more than just providing facilities—it also requires fostering a more progressive learning culture. For this reason, the regional government will continue supporting educational institutions holistically, including infrastructure development, human resource improvement, and the advancement of learning technologies.
Through these initiatives in Midai District, the regional government reinforces its commitment to achieving equitable education quality across the island regions. These strategic actions reflect Natuna Regency’s long-term vision of nurturing a future generation that is intelligent, adaptive, and highly competitive. (Prokopim/Patli)
