The Government of Natuna Regency held a Flag-Raising Ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025.
The ceremony, which took place on Sunday morning (17/8) at Piwang Beach, Ranai, was solemnly conducted with the Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, serving as the Inspector of the Ceremony.
Also in attendance were the Vice Regent of Natuna, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command (Pangkogabwilhan), heads of regional government organizations, representatives of community organizations, and numerous attendees who filled the event venue.
The raising of the national flag, Sang Saka Merah Putih, was carried out by the Natuna Regency Flag-Raising Troop (Paskibraka), who had been officially inaugurated the previous day. With great spirit and coordination, they successfully fulfilled their honorable duty of hoisting the national flag in front of thousands of ceremony participants.
In the lead-up to the Proclamation Moment, the commemoration of the 80th Independence Day was further enlivened by various performances, including a marching band from one of the senior high schools in Ranai and a choral performance (Aobade) by a combined group of high school students from across the city of Ranai.
