As part of the preparations to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Regent of Natuna, Cen Sui Lan, conducted a direct review of the training activities for the National Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) at Piwang Beach on Friday morning (August 8).
This activity serves as a vital component in the series of preparations for the Independence Day ceremony scheduled to take place on August 17. The inspection aimed to ensure that the entire training process runs smoothly and adheres to established standards.
On the occasion, Regent Cen Sui Lan personally greeted the Paskibraka members and offered words of encouragement, urging them to remain focused and disciplined throughout the training period. She emphasized that serving as part of the flag-hoisting troop is an honor and a symbol of the nation’s trust in its youth.
She further stated that every Paskibraka member represents the finest young individuals of Natuna. Their task goes beyond drill routines; it is about instilling a spirit of nationalism and love for the homeland.
In addition to observing the training, the Regent also reviewed other technical aspects of the ceremony’s preparation, ensuring that all supporting elements are ready to welcome and execute the upcoming celebration with solemnity and dignity.
The Regent expressed hope that through this intensive training, participants would be not only physically prepared but also mentally and emotionally matured. She also called on all citizens of Natuna to unite in making the 80th Independence Day celebration a success as a form of gratitude for the nation’s freedom. (Prokopim/Patli)
