At Al Istiqomah Mosque, Pering, Bandarsyah Urban Village, Bunguran Timur District, Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, SE, accompanied by the Chairperson of TP PKK Natuna, the Chairman of DPRD, representatives from Forkopimda and regional government organizations, the Head of PT. Bank Riau Kepri Ranai Branch, and representatives from PT. Medco Energy, attended the 1446 H Ramadan Safari on Sunday night (23/03).
The Natuna Regency Ramadan Safari delegation received a warm welcome from the Acting District Head, along with the Bunguran Timur District Government and Forkopimda, the Head of Bandarsyah Urban Village, local residents, and congregants of Al Istiqomah Mosque.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Regent Jarmin expressed his gratitude, as this visit on the 24th night of Ramadan marked the final leg of the Natuna Regency Government’s Ramadan Safari. He also extended his appreciation for the warm hospitality of the hosts, making this concluding event a memorable one for him.
Jarmin further explained that the current financial efficiency measures have had a significant impact on the community. One clear indicator of this, he noted, is the decline in sales among traders at Ranai Market, reflecting the overall economic situation of the community.
He also stated that the Natuna Regency Government is still awaiting the disbursement of budget allocations from the Ministry of Finance and the Riau Islands Provincial Government.
He expressed hope that the funds would be released soon, enabling the government to settle outstanding regional debts, such as the Performance Allowance (TPP) and payments to third-party vendors.
This matter is crucial, he emphasized, as the local economy and cash flow in the community are still heavily reliant on the regional financial situation, unlike in other areas where the private sector has already developed.
Therefore, Jarmin encouraged the community to remain patient, continue striving, and pray for this difficult situation to pass quickly, allowing the local economy to return to normal.
During the event, Deputy Regent Jarmin also handed over a Rp. 5 million donation from the Bank Riau Kepri Syariah Partnership Program, which was received by the Chairman of Al Istiqomah Mosque Management.
Additionally, seven basic food aid packages were symbolically distributed as part of the PT Medco Energy Peduli Ramadan 1446 H Program. This year, PT Medco Energy has prepared 800 aid packages to be distributed to underprivileged communities across all villages and urban areas in Natuna Regency, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
