Medco Energy, Deputy Regent of Natuna, Jarmin, SE, led the Ramadan Safari delegation at Raudhatul Falaah Mosque, Kelangan Village, North East Bunguran Subdistrict, on Friday (22/03).

The event began with a communal iftar (breaking fast) session, followed by Maghrib and Isha prayers in congregation. After the Taraweeh prayers, the gathering concluded with a religious sermon (tausiyah) and a collective prayer.

In his speech, Jarmin expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and preparations made by the host community, which contributed to the smooth execution of the event.

He also addressed a previous government program providing assistance to places of worship, which had been discontinued due to budget efficiency policies. However, Jarmin assured the audience that he would review the program and work towards reinstating it.

According to Jarmin, ensuring a comfortable worship environment is one of the state’s responsibilities in upholding citizens’ rights. Therefore, in the future, improving the physical and operational quality of places of worship will be one of the government’s priority programs.

During the event, basic food aid packages were also distributed as part of the PT Medco Energy Peduli Ramadan 1446 Hijri program. A total of 800 aid packages were prepared and would be distributed to underprivileged communities across villages and districts throughout Natuna Regency. (Pro-Kopim/Patli)
